Andrea Jeremiah
Andrea Maria Jeremiah has worked as an actor as well as a musician, playback singer and actress in Tamil films as well as Malayalam film. Annayum's Rasoolum has marked her Malayalam and Tamil debuts as an actor. Andrea Jeremiah has been raised in a Tamil Nadu Anglo-Indian family. Her father is a Madras High Court lawyer. Also, she has one younger sister, currently employed as a research assistant in Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and attended National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea began playing classical piano in her eighth year. Young Stars is a Jackson Five style group that she joined in the age of 10, which was the foundation of her singing and music career. She worked as an actor at her school and took part in several productions by The Madras Players, EVAM and various theatre organizations. Andrea was also the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea's career in theatre began with Girishkarnad's Nagamandala. Her 2006 role in the brand new Leo Coffee advert included Shiva. The year 2006 was the time she starred in a TV show airing on Podhigai. She performed throughout India. She performed a very brief performance in Kanda Mudhal, the 2005 finale. When she sang a tune on Gautham Vasudev Menon's film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiya she was asked to appear as one of the lead female characters in his next project Pachaikili Muthucharam. The film was an adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed. It featured Andrea portraying Kalyani who is a housewife her husband who is caught in an affair, and then is blackmailed. Andrea was chosen to play Kalyani following Simran Shobana, Tabu and other actors were approached. which released in early 2010. Her minor role was accepted in Venkat's Mankatha in 2011, in which she starred alongside a variety of actors. Annayum Rasoolum from Rajeeev Ravi the romantic comedy film that she premiered in Malayalam with was released on August 11, 2013.
