She's reported on sports for some of the biggest outlets around the globe. The last decade was spent at The Washington Post covering football and basketball as well as multiple Olympics and Grand Slam Tennis. Nichols, who earned two Emmy Awards during her nine-year time working for ESPN as well as being featured on the most watched shows like NFL Countdown or SportsCenter, was transferred to ESPN after 2004. Nichols was also a one of the networks' Monday Night Football broadcasts as a sideline reporter. Then she moved on to CNN and Turner Sports. Unguarded: Rachel Nichols hosted her own show on CNN International. More than a billion people watched the show worldwide. Nichols worked for TNT as a reporter who reported on NBA games that included playoffs, regular season and All Star television broadcasts. Apart from reporting for TBS, she also covered baseball and golf broadcasts and Final Four on CBS. Over the course of 42 years of the award, it was the only time an individual woman was one of the nominees.
