One of her personal highlights was being hand-picked to join Snoop in the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013, as well as writing songs, despite the turbulence in the last couple of years. The young producer is now drawn to her, and always tries out latest beats. Many end up inspiring music ideas. She claims that she is able to determine if the beat is great in only 5 seconds. And then, a brand new song may pop up in her head. I sit on my back porch with my guitar and the words just come and usually it's all done in under thirty minutes. Niykee says that when she develops as a lyricist her painful memories from her childhood serve as an inspiratoin. The hurt I experienced growing as a child as well as that of losing my sibling is evident in my songs, even if they're not literal. It shapes my songs and creates a deeper significance behind everything that is among the most significant things for me. I want to be able to say that I can listen to any of my songs in 20 years later and be proud of what I wrote.
