Kelly Clarkson

KellyKelly Clarkson, in full Kelly Brianne Clarkson, (born April 24, 1982, Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.), American singer, songwriter, and television personality who came to prominence as a pop rock star following winning the popular television talent contest American Idol during 2002. Clarkson grew up living in Burleson, Texas, a suburb of Fort Worth, where her singing talent was initially recognized by her teacher in the choir at her school when she was a seventh-grade student. Clarkson was able to leave high school and move to Los Angeles where she failed to succeed in the world of entertainment. She was selected to compete for the Fox Broadcasting Company's American Idol singing competition, which allowed viewers the opportunity to cast their vote on their favourite performance. People were impressed by Clarkson's stunning personality, voice, as well as her wit. Her prize to win the competition was $1 million as well as an recording deal with RCA.
